People behind the event
Tommi Lindholm / chef
I was asked…
…if I would like to take part in creating VIP-level meals for the Teiskonen event. Well, of course I did! After several meetings and test dinners, I joined the event with my own team of five people. Our team was immediately welcomed into the Teiskonen family. Everything was extremely professional right from the start, and the atmosphere was excellent.
I was surprised by how many guests wanted to take a selfie with the chef of the event. The guests would sometimes even stand in line to get a photo together with the chef, looking spectacular in his tall hat and Rotisseurs chains. The food was highly praised by the guests.
I have been happy and proud to tell people that I have taken part in an event like this where everything works, people are happy, the chef is given recognition, and you get to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.
Nelly Korpikoski / announcer
It was surprising to see…
…how quickly and with such high quality everything was organized in the middle of nowhere! I knew immediately that I was now in for a spectacular event. I work in sound and with various production tasks.
I had always dreamed of taking part in a Teiskonen VIP event, and when I suddenly found myself announcing for the event, I knew that two of my dreams had come true at once. The best things about the event are meeting people, seeing the rally up close, good food and a great atmosphere. These things also make announcing for the event easy and meaningful. It has been an honor to be a part of this team. When hard-working and professional people come together, they can make miracles happen. There is no job this team can’t handle.
Maria Lahtela / kitchen staff
One thing in particular that I remember is…
…when last year, after the event, me and my team were standing in the empty field, looking at the magnificent starry sky, and someone started to sing and everyone joined in.
I have been part of the Teiskonen team for almost fifteen years now, and the event has been a great success every time, even if there have been a few bumps along the way. We had to run from one farmhouse to another, asking if they could borrow us a couple of gas cylinders, as we had forgotten ours in the field… Once, we crashed the car into a ditch in the middle of the night. Fortunately, I had taken some of the pork left over from the event with me, so I had something to eat as I waited for the tow truck on the side of the road.
This rally team has become like a second family to me, since my own family is all the way up north. The people make this job fun year after year. Nowadays, I mainly work in the kitchen, doing a variety of jobs.
